So, I'm just curious, does this wiki have a particular, unique goal? The reason I ask is because there already is a Pink Floyd wiki that contains basically everything you'd want to know about the songs, albums, etc., and has over 2000 articles. -CapitalQ 16:34, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure about how the goal differs in terms of content, but the policies do make it very different to that other wiki since this one is openly editable and doesn't require anyone to log in, and this one is free content (GFDL) so it's compatible with the Wikimedia projects. There's also a spam filter in place on this one, and users here can edit any other Wikia site using the same login, which makes it easier to cross between communities and edit over a range of topics that you're interested in. - Well, I'd say the reason they have anonymous editing disabled is because (as seen in their Recent changes) there isn't much left to contribute...therefore the anonymous edits would probably be spambots more often than not. I'm just saying that it seems a bit odd to establish a new Pink Floyd wiki when there's already one that's nearly complete in existence. -CapitalQ 17:45, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Discussion Topics Edit
- This whole wiki article needs to be revamped - its terrible. The infoboxes are awful, im going to try and lead the way in improving this any way i can. Could others please help. Ive started with Richard Wrights page, we can go on from there.
- I'm glad you're going to improve it, but please leave pages unprotected so others can help. There's no need to lock the wiki down at this stage. See Help:Main Page. Angela talk 03:39, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
